The Best Events of The Summer in Livonia
Livonia Spree
Celebrate the founding of the city with a week-long birthday party held at Ford Field! The 73rd annual Livonia Spree will be held June 20th–25th, 2023 and will feature fireworks, carnival rides, delicious food, great music, a car show, a 5K run, and more!
Local Concerts
To accompany the children’s concert series, Kirksey Recreation Center is hosting free music nights all summer long for everybody who’s still awake after the kiddies have gone to bed. Enjoy a wide variety of music in fresh air under open skies from July 6th to August 31st. And on August 25th, you can celebrate the 3rd Annual Labyrinth in Concert event, hosted at the Redford Theater.

The City of Livonia provides a full calendar of special events every season, and some of the highlights this summer include:
- Monthly S’mores and Stories events, hosted from 7–8 p.m. one Friday per month in June, July, and August at Greenmead Historical Park
- The BIG Picnic, a free event at Greenmead with music, lawn games, face painting, and more
- Free showings of Henry V, this year’s Shakespeare in the Park performance, in July
